A Memorandum of Cooperation has been signed between the Deaflympic Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the 'Integration of Children and Youth with Disabilities into Sports' Public Union. The main goal of the memorandum is to promote the development of the Deaflympic movement in the country, increase the involvement of individuals with hearing disabilities in sports, and strengthen their social integration.
As part of the collaboration, the parties will initiate joint initiatives, carry out awareness campaigns, training programs, and large-scale sports projects. The founder and leader of the Public Union, Paralympian Aynur Mammadova — a three-time World Champion and four-time European Champion in taekwondo, Honored Master of Sports, presidential awardee, and a person with a second-degree disability — will dedicate her knowledge and experience in this field to the development of young athletes.
Joint cooperation will create equal opportunities for all segments of society, bringing out their potential. Additionally, important steps will be taken towards strengthening inclusivity and building a society where everyone has equal opportunities through sports.
