On August 22, 2024, a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation was signed between the Deaflympic Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan Shooting Federation.

The meeting was attended by Secretary General Namig Novruzov, Board Member Sahib Gulmammadov and Sports Department Employee Askhab Kalayev of the Deaflympic Committee, and Vice Presidents of the Federation Zemfira Meftakhetdinova, Tofig Baylarov, Secretary General Emin Jafarov, Head Coach Irada Ashumova and Press Secretary Gunel Salayeva from the Azerbaijan Shooting Federation.

Secretary General of the Deaflympic Committee Namig Novruzov presented general information about the international Deaflympic movement and the International Deaf Sports Committee. At the same time, the Azerbaijan Deaflympic Committee informed about the work and plans carried out to ensure the mass involvement of hearing-impaired people into sports and support their integration into social life through sports, and expressed its belief that mutual cooperation with the Shooting Federation will lay the foundation for new successes in the future.

Speaking at the meeting Vice President of the AAF Mrs. Zemfira Meftakhetdinova, mentioned that cooperation between the parties is an important step towards the development of inclusive sports. She also noted that signed Memorandum provides additional opportunities for the expansion of existing cooperation and the further development of sports relations. 

Secretary General of AAF Emin Jafarov, emphasized that the Federation will create all conditions for the involvement of hearing-impaired people in both types of shooting, their participation in training sessions and many other activities held at the Baku Shooting Center, special classes by professional teachers, and the provision of the necessary equipment and infrastructure during their traning camps. AAF Vice President Tofig Baylarov noted that within the framework of joint cooperation, info sessions and campaigns will be organized in various schools and educational centers in order to attract hearing-impaired people who are interested and skilled in shooting sports. According to the MOU, both organizations will cooperate in areas such as the development of the Deaflympic movement in the country, the involvement of hearing-impaired people in sports and the development of joint proposals, the implementation of meetings, projects, and educational activities.
