On September 25, the Minister of Youth and Sport Farid Gayibov held his 16th meeting with representatives of sports committees and federations. The meeting was attended by the Secretary General of the Deaflympia Committee Namig Novruzov and the Sports Department representative Askhab Kalaev.

Rapid tournament among chess players involved in the Deaflympic chess team

On September 12-13, rapid tournament, jointly organized by the Deaflympia Committee and the "Mammadyarovlar" Chess School, was held among hearing-impaired chess players at the Sumgait Olympic and Sports Complex.

The Deaflympics movement celebrates its 100th anniversary!

For the first time in history, competitions among hearing-impaired people were held in 1924 in Paris, France.  The Deaflympics also historicaly considered as the first international competition among people with disabilities.
